About the Role:

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.

  • Inspect and test components of the electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gear.

  • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.

  • Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.

  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices, report findings concerns and deficiencies.

  • Maintain/ repair motors and variable speed drives.

  • Conduct routine inspections of the electrical distribution systems and components.

  • Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code and NFPA 70e.

  • Highly safety conscious to work in the following environments: extreme temperatures, steam, high hazard electrical areas, loud noises, and pharmaceutical dust.

  • Proficient with lockout/ tagout processes, hazard precautions and personal protective equipment requirements.

  • Become an authorized receiver to process permit to work forms for non-routine work.

  • Prepare Job Safety Analysis and assist with Risk Assessments.

  • Provide support during facility shut down times.

  • Complete all required safety training in a timely manner.

  • Participate in the Zero Accident Program.

  • Available to be on a rotating call schedule for nights and weekends.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 7 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.

  • Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or facility maintenance preferred.

  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
