The Opportunity

An industry leading Toronto team, is actively seeking a proactive and resourceful leader to provide ongoing management of real estate transaction activities for a portfolio of properties .

You will prepare, recommend, and implement a portfolio-wide transaction strategy for acquiring and disposing of real estate premises. Coordinate field resources and other stakeholders in the execution of lease renewals, new site acquisitions, disposition of surplus space through subleasing, early lease termination, and more.

This individual will be a team first player, who is dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes in the job’s responsibilities. This role will manage competing priorities and deadlines, be service-oriented with external clients and work with teammates to manage leasing deal flow and the agency leasing business operations. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, organizational and planning skills. Individual needs to be self-starting and action-oriented while regularly exercising independent judgment and seeing tasks through to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Working directly with the team leader (Senior Vice President, Advisory and Transaction Services), this role will implement real estate plans with an understanding of the client’s strategic real estate goals. Assist with project initiation and scope definition, prioritization of assignments and adherence to client driven priorities and milestones, and fulfilling strategic plans from concept to execution.

Concurrently acts as landlord/sublandlord agent and effectively manage the full sales cycle, including; fielding listing inquiries, hosting property tours, activity report and prospect tracking, the negotiation of business terms and conditions.

Responsible for strategically approaching each offer to lease with the primary goal of successful execution.

Ensure daily accuracy of client report platform, VTS.

Ability to prepare, edit, and blackline offers, RFPs, letters of intent, commission agreements, waivers and proposals independently with occasional input from sales representative.

Works closely with the team’s Marketing Coordinator on development of marketing and communication strategies.

Manage Landlord (agency) portfolio projects.

Manage information databases and uses data to generate bi-weekly team reports, quarterly client reports and any reports required ad hoc.

Actively involved in client/prospective client presentations and meetings.

Attend and/or lead tours with clients.

Monitor lease expirations. Negotiate lease renewals within the prescribed timeline.

Closely tracks all transaction activity (commissionable and non-commissionable), prepares commission forecasts and vouchers, and accounts for all savings results achieved on behalf of clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required.

  • Registered with RECO

  • Advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles is required.

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 2 years office leasing experience
