About the role

CBRE@Google is seeking a Construction Project Management (CPM) Intern. CPM involves leading a project delivery process from inception through turnover through the management of external partners (vendors/consultants), internal stakeholders, and other industry suppliers on behalf of the Owner

The intern’s role is responsible for partnering with team members on different projects and initiatives that support the CBRE@Google account goals and initiatives. The intern must demonstrate self organization skills and willingness to learn new things, while relying on the experience and the collaboration of others to plan and achieve project goals. The intern will be assigned specific project-related tasks for projects in both the design and construction phase to be exposed to projects in all phases.

What you'll do

●Support Project Managers/Team members by maintaining and tracking assigned project tasks and progress (ie the project’s schedule, budget, project drive and scope).

●Assist with project administrative tasks such as contracts, Real Estate Workplace Solutions (REWS) email accounts, vendor construction badge requests, certificates of insurance, project closeout, invoices, filing documents, and purchase orders.

●Visits to the construction jobsite(s) to conduct job walks for educational and applicable observations re: logistics, activities, safety awareness, housekeeping, etc.; and to assist with moderating interaction between different project partners (ie

GC/Owner/Vendors) with PM leadership.

●Attend project-related meetings to become more immersed in the project team around design/construction decisions/actions, sequencing of activities, building code related items, jurisdiction having authority (JHA) requirements, etc.

●Attend other meetings as noted by your Manager

●Assist the team with the new implementation of project management software (e-Builder)

What you'll need

●Undergraduate curriculum within the following fields: Architectural/civil engineering, Construction science/management, architecture

●Familiarity with G-Suite (Google docs, sheets, slides)

●Proven interpretation and problem solving skills

●Have a very high eye for detail and accuracy

●Good communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work across various business and services lines

●Ability to work effectively in a team environment

●Appreciation for technology and desire to learn new systems

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training and experience. The minimum salary for the Intern position is $20.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Intern position is $25.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
