JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for accurate inventory accounting, including receiving, processing, recording, and distributing supplies and materials; it also performs various clerical duties, including data entry and maintaining files and records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains inventory of all material assets. Manages inventory through auditing procedures that include cycle counting of small subsets of inventory in specific locations at specifically scheduled times

  • Audits warehouse inventory reports using physical checks to ensure accurate system accounting

  • Enters inventory information into a controlled software system to ensure the availability of accurate information

  • Performs labeling of materials following required procedures

  • Prepares and maintains documentation to provide written support and/or convey information.

  • Reconciles discrepancies in asset records (e.g. physical count versus reported items)

  • Coordinates with warehouse managers to facilitate the cycle counting process for each area

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A high School diploma or GED equivalent is required, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Forklift experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

  • May require equipment certification for forklift & aerial lifts, power pallet jack, etc.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Material Specialist position is $50,000 annually, and the maximum salary for the Material Specialist position is $75,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
