Supply Chain Programme Lead

Role Purpose

A dual-purpose role:

1.Manage and support consulting engagements which will primarily consist of teams working on network analysis, operational review and optimisation, new facility concept design, research, modelling, solution development, presentation creation – all to help deliver exceptional client outcomes

2.Lead and support securing of new supply chain consulting engagements, primarily through internal networks and connections – both proactive and reactive

‒Delivers successful consulting engagements with multiple engagements potentially live at any given time

‒Delivers their own activities and supports management of project teams

‒Develops and maintains positive client relationships while managing client expectations

‒Identifies and communicates risks and opportunities regarding project requirements, resources, timelines and budgets

‒Communicates well: within the core project team and when supporting sales pursuits, with key stakeholders, and with senior supply chain and real estate executives

‒Supports design of, and delivers, approaches to answer strategic business questions

‒Uses supply chain knowledge to diagnose client issues, structure project approaches, identify improvement opportunities and define solutions

‒Identifies and communicates ways to improve CBRE's analysis tools and techniques

‒Work collaboratively with internal teams by sharing experiences and expertise to benefit the client

Key Business Development Responsibilities

‒Diagnose problem areas and shape solutions with clients

‒Leads and support client pursuits through internal, external and direct channels – from identification of an opportunity through to securing of the project

‒Leads creation of discussion documents, proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials with the pursuit team

‒Leads and supports client meetings / presentations and preparation

‒Leads business development programme across a variety of opportunity types – from one-offs to longer-term account support

‒Works closely with relevant colleagues (e.g. Brokerage) to qualify, target and pursue prospects by leveraging supply chain subject matter expertise

‒Ability to develop commercially beneficial plans and proposals to solve client problems

‒Interacts with other consulting and advisory practices to continuously improve CBRE's ability to deliver exceptional client outcomes

‒Supports the development of a tailored "win strategy" for each pursuit, underpinned by commercial acumen that determines what value means to the client

‒Leads lessons learned to identify critical success factors in pursuits and use data to consistently strengthen and improve pursuit strategies

‒Works collaboratively to identify existing CBRE capabilities and offerings that provide synergistic value propositions when coupled with Consumer, Supply Chain & Talent Consulting offerings

‒Is always accessible and responsive to clients, if appropriate

‒Supports the leadership team to ensure that all objectives and financial plans are met

Person Specification/Requirements

‒Demonstrates a track record in supply chain of supporting, delivering and leading work-streams and projects covering supply chain strategy, network design, facility capacity analysis, operational assessments, third party decision support and business case development

‒Experience in consulting

‒Self-starter, pro-active, drives self and those around them to build and maintain momentum across sales and delivery

‒Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrates ability to support and develop colleagues

‒Actively contributes to a culture of co-operation and teamwork

‒Possesses excellent client communication and management skills and experience

‒Strong understanding of the supply chain industry and can understand the relationship with commercial real estate decisions

‒Skills and experience to diagnose and understand client requirements, manage client expectations and execute delivery plans

‒Superior and creative problem-solving skills which can support project delivery and can use supporting tools proficiently, including MS PowerPoint and MS Excel

‒Appreciation for how and why different data manipulation tools can and should be used in different situations, such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI and the like

‒Location

‒The role will require regular London-office presence (e.g. 2 days a week), with frequent travel throughout UK and, potentially, some international requirements

‒The work is office-based but will include working from home, CBRE office or client site
