About the Role:

Manage all aspects of the Atlantic Candian Region ( Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador) brokerage and Advisory operations covering all asset classes of office, investment, and retail focused on our client services and overall market leadership. Emphasis is on integration of service lines and promotion of business development to increase market share and secure long-term revenue generation. Guides sales professionals, teams of professionals, and staff in client relations, service orientation, and consulting roles as well as the effective, efficient, and ethical operation of their business or accounts. Builds a cohesive, diverse team dedicated to ongoing improvement of business operations.

What You’ll Do:

•Overall business development and expansion of the local and regional customer and client base

•Building new client relationships in the local and regional marketplace.

•Management of all aspects of the market area for investment, sales and leasing, office, retail properties, owners, tenants, staff, and services to generate and maintain maximum profitability.

•Promoting the integration of a variety of service lines to enable new business development and the growth of the Company's market share in the local and regional marketplace.

•Mentoring and supervision of sales professionals, teams, and staff in client relations, service delivery, and business development as well as effective, efficient, and ethical operations of their client and stakeholder activities.

•Building a cohesive, diverse team dedicated to ongoing improvement of business operations and revenue growth.

LEADERSHIP: Create, communicate, and monitor the vision, mission, strategy, objectives, business plan, budget, policies, and operating plans for assigned area. Serve as a change agent for business improvements by developing buy-in and support for new initiatives and processes through effective leadership strategies. Lead by example to earn respect and trust of peers, employees, and clients. Full participation in regional/national meetings. Lead the CBRE Atlantic Market Outlook.

Participate in community and business organizations. Conducts and maintains relationships with industry and trade associations, vendors, and professional organizations.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Directly accountable for overall business development initiatives and tracking of key client relationships for the local and regional marketplace.

Responsible for managing financial performance indicators and local market area activity to identify market gaps and potential service offerings to expand client base and market share. Ensures integration within the lines of business and between all lines of business to maximize performance of the company's platform.

Direct responsibility for management of high-level client and strategic business relationships in full collaboration with sales professionals and regional managers. Maintains strong positive relationships with existing client base through a schedule of regular client meetings, formal market presentations, and strategic proposals that promote CBRE's business.

Ensures pitches, proposals, and presentations are being executed with innovative, market leading materials and best practices from CBRE's national platform.

Direct focus on growing market share through strategic analysis of competitor's strengths and weaknesses.

BUSINESS OPERATIONS: Ensure the integration of all functions; i.e. sales, marketing, finance, operations, project management, legal, human resources, etc. Build strong business operations and sets specific, measurable, challenging yet achievable goals and objectives. Formulate, negotiate, and execute contracts with the client and vendors. Capitalize on strategic partnerships and manages client sensitivities accordingly.

CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES: Real Estate sales or brokerage license required for business unit. Appropriate designations and participation in professional and industry organizations desired.

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE: Prepare short and long-range strategic plans, priorities, objectives, and the annual budget for a regional portfolio. Responsible for meeting the financial goals and expense management for assigned area (region or local market area). Oversee financial accounting and reporting, identify mid-year trends, and reforecast, as required.

HUMAN CAPITAL AND RECRUITMENT: Provide for the effective recruitment, selection, performance management, development, and retention of high caliber management staff to carry out the organization's mission. Guide staff in strengthening their competencies.

Implement a career development and succession plan, along with an effective retention program for key personnel, while creating a more diverse organization. Recognize expertise and empowers peers and employees to build a dynamic team that is viewed by others as highly productive, capable, and the best in the industry.

OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED

What You’ll Need:

•Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

•Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

•Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.

•Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.

•In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

•Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
