Job Title: Transaction Manager, Senior Surveyor/Senior Analyst

Reports to: Paddy Conlon, Executive Director, Advisory and Transactions

Role Purpose

The EMEA Transaction Management team is responsible for developing property strategy and overseeing the execution of transactions across EMEA for either one large, dedicated client or a number of clients with smaller transaction requirements. Each Transaction Manager’s role will vary depending on its location and whether it is based on a dedicated client account or a varied portfolio. The level of seniority required will vary depending on the needs of the client. The Transaction Manager in Ireland will be responsible for proactively managing real estate transaction activities of our corporate client’s property portfolio’s. The role is to support our clients in optimizing their real estate exposure through preparing, recommending, and implementing a portfolio-wide real estate transaction strategy.

Person Specification & Requirements

With this being a new role to the CBRE Ireland Advisory business, we would welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds with the ability to learn quickly in the role. This could be someone with experience of executive or business administration or someone with a surveying background. Candidates from a real estate or financial background will have an advantage but it not essential nor a barrier to the role. Day to day, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating CBRE resources throughout CBRE’s global network of offices and other stakeholders in the execution of lease renewals, site acquisitions and disposals, subleasing surplus space, early lease termination and more.

Key skills required for the role:

▪ Project/Programme Management – Transactions are similar to any project with requirements for strong co-ordination. Individuals who have delivered on project/change management projects previously will have an advantage.

▪ Client & Commercial Knowledge - Effectively delivers a complex range of tasks for the client, effectively manages client expectations, has a good understanding of the contractual relationship,

▪ Business Development - Understands the business development process and develops ideas and relationships that may result in sales in either their own or another area of the business

▪ Reputation & Profile - Maintains reputation through the delivery of self-managed high standards of work; provides technical support and advice to more junior staff, proactively seeks guidance and drives personal development of soft skills; seeks feedback to support own capabilities

▪ Collaboration - Proactively shares information to benefit the business within the context of client confidentiality. Ensures that recognition is given to the right people; develops the team’s ability to network through creating opportunities to work with other teams and by sharing own network

▪ Ability to identify and improve process efficiency - Reviews the effectiveness of business processes and systems - reports back to senior team members; contributes to resource planning discussions for their local service line / client

Certificates and/or Licenses

Candidates with a recognized real estate (SCSI or similar) qualification along with those who have a course in

financial analysis will have an advantage but is not a requirement
