About the role

This role serves as the primary point of contact for Quality issues in a specific portfolio. They aim to become an expert in all aspects of the portfolio, fostering a skilled and proficient workforce that follows standardized maintenance procedures. While reporting to the Account Operations Director, they enjoy autonomy in their work. Responsibilities encompass being the go-to authority for maintenance standard operating procedures and training within the portfolio, collaborating with clients on escalations, contributing to reports and presentations, assisting field technicians with maintenance problem-solving, and conducting periodic field inspections and training.

What you’ll do

  • Process Improvement: Supports CBRE and/or client's goals by proposing, participating in, and leading process improvement initiatives. This includes conducting process reviews, evaluating recommendations, implementing changes, and ensuring effectiveness. Additionally, actively contributes to delivering exceptional customer service and quality services.

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) development: Collaborates with account management, mobile technicians, facility coordinators, and operations supervisors to gather and analyze data for process improvement. Develops proposals to enhance preventative maintenance processes, driving KPI improvement across the account. Maintains and updates the account Knowledge Base and Parts Ordering Guide. Facilitates the creation of standardized preventative maintenance checklists by incorporating input from the account team and client category managers.

  • Training: Develops regular in-house training to improve field technician knowledge of the account scope of work and train the team prior to commencing preventative maintenance. Conducts technician field assessments and training and participates in onboarding/training new hires. Continuously seeks out internal CBRE professional training opportunities by learning best practices from other accounts and acting as the account lead for Talent Coach Sustainable Tech program. Works with account director to determine trades where the account needs to improve self-performance and then finds, evaluates, and organizes training with third party providers.

  • Preventative Maintenance Program: Oversees the portfolio's preventative maintenance program in collaboration with client category managers. Reviews internal scheduling, develops standardized checklists to align with the statement of work, offers recommendations for improvements based on field feedback and best practices, and submits finalized PM schedules to the client.

  • Technical Expertise: Serves as a technical resource for the maintenance team, offering support and guidance. While not expected to be an expert in all aspects of the maintenance program, actively assists field technicians in problem resolution by engaging with other account, CBRE, client, or industry experts.

  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.

  • Comprehension and Communication: Proficiently understands and analyzes business documents, effectively responding to client escalations through clear written or verbal communication. Demonstrates strong writing skills, producing reports, manuals, presentations, and articles with a distinctive style. Delivers persuasive presentations on complex topics to audiences ranging from employees and clients to top management and public groups. Expertly motivates and negotiates with key employees, top management, and client groups to drive desired actions.

  • Provides advice and makes decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent related work experience preferred. Minimum 5 years related work experience required. Previous experience within a quality organization preferred. Niche training in quality assurance audits preferred.

  • FDA, ISO, or similar quality assurance audit related certification preferred.

  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

  • Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people with an ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help.

  • Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help. Previous experience with SAP, Trackwise, Regulus, and/or CMMS systems.

  • Knowledge or formal training with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S programs (among others) preferred.

  • Must be physically able to climb 40’ ladders, stand for prolonged periods of time, walk over 100 yards at a time.
