We are looking for a researcher to join the Intel and Intelligence team and contribute to the research coverage and forecasting of infrastructure markets with a focus on North America’s clean energy and digital sectors. The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of research tools and platforms to seek data and translate it into insights that drive superior investment decisions. The hire will have the ability to independently gather intelligence on infrastructure trends and dynamics in diverse sectors (ranging from power utilities to electric vehicles and data centers) and can produce concise and impactful summaries about their impact on the infrastructure investment outlook.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collect, aggregate and interpret data and intelligence for listed and unlisted infrastructure markets that feed into research white papers.

  • Incorporate data from unlisted infrastructure indices into forecast models and create written reports and data visualizations to convey findings and inform investment strategies.

  • Support the investment team with macroeconomic and infrastructure sector research, which may involve emerging and high-growth areas such as hydrogen, battery storage, data centers and others.

General Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance or Business Administration or another finance-related field. Graduate degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a research or data-focused role.

  • Infrastructure-related experience preferred but not required; preference for equity or credit research candidates.

  • Experience with using advanced features in Excel and PowerPoint to extract, organize and visualize insights from large data sets desired.

  • Knowledge of indices and investment benchmarks preferred with desire to grow one’s knowledge.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI preferred.

  • Highly numerate and strong critical thinking skills.

  • Organized, structured, methodical.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information.

  • Ability to collaborate across a geographically disperse organization, with frequent communication across colleagues.
