About the role

Lead all aspects of a single high profile asset or portfolio of commercial properties for one owner. Coordinate all marketing, operations and financial activities.

What you’ll do

  • Respond to tenant needs, ensuring that administrative and building technical staff resolve problems promptly. Ensure that services are provided in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations and contractual obligations and standards.

  • Ensure periodic regular property inspection. Recommend and/or approve alterations, maintenance and reconditioning as needed. Contract for and supervise vendor services as required.

  • At owner's discretion, market and lease the property, qualifying and showing space to prospective tenants, and negotiating new leases and lease renewals. Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, and "walk-through" spaces with tenants and tenant improvement department.

  • Act as primary contact with property owners to ensure that objectives as being met. Conduct and deliver timely, accurate reports.

  • Develop annual budgets for operating and capital expenses. Forecast management plans and prepare monthly performance, explaining variances.

  • Collect rent and pay expenses in compliance with lease terms. Prepare all required legal notices and recommend/coordinate legal action as needed.

  • Review and reconcile tenant rent and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recovery charges.

  • Negotiate early terminations of leases and provides lease analysis for client's review/approval; Document settlement of and notify affected parties.

  • Support all property sales by supervising due diligence process and monitoring the activity of outside brokers.

Intermediate to sophisticated skills with Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of four to six years of related experience and/or training.

Certificates and/or Licenses

Real estate license required; CPM or RPA professional designation or candidacy preferred.

Communication skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.

Financial knowledge

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms/principles and conducts advanced financial analysis. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.

Reasoning ability

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving options in situations.

*California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the General Manager position is $120,000 - $131,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
