Position Title : Environmental Data Analyst

Work Location : Hyderabad

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and validating energy and sustainability data across the client’s portfolio of properties.

You will work as a part of a team to facilitate data management and suggest energy related initiatives for a variety of clients. You will be supported in the region by the E&S team within the CBRE team.

Our Energy & Sustainability Team :

You will be a part of Energy & Sustainability (E&S) team within CBRE Business Services Organization consisting of talents in energy, sustainability and analytics in addition to global E&S experts, client relationship leaders, energy managers & analysts, who carry out work for occupiers, landlords & investors.

Our strategic focus: We generate operational savings in energy, water, waste and carbon emissions, which mitigates risks & enhances external creditability as well as maximizes profitability and staff well-being.

You will closely work with a team in Warsaw in order to provide the highest quality services to our clients & contribute to shaping sustainable future.

The Role :

  • Collect energy, water, waste data for a variety of properties on a global scale within defined deadlines

  • Benchmark data against other clients & industries.

  • Validate data quality and accuracy.

  • Prepare some regular reporting.

  • Work with stakeholders to establish explanations in data variations.

  • Convert large volumes of data into valuable information for clients.

  • Work as a part of an international team, where your Team Leader maybe located elsewhere.

  • Work with the wider Energy and Sustainability Team to complete projects to strict deadlines providing efficient, timely and reliable data updates.

  • Your work will contribute to the overall energy & sustainability strategy.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English in speaking and writing is a must.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in one of the natural sciences (Computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Law, Business or other).

  • Experience with energy, waste and water data management.

  • Proven energy data validation skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel).

  • Use of programming languages (R, Python or others) is an advantage.

  • Use of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI or others) is an advantage.

  • Experience in coordinating data collection across a large and varied portfolio.

  • Experience in communicating with stakeholders to gather information.

  • Carbon footprint reporting knowledge preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to negotiate effectively to obtain required information within strict deadlines.

  • High analytical skills, focused on details, fast learning.

  • Client oriented, capable to adapt to changing and demanding environment.

  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines while managing conflicting priorities.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics or similar program.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Entry level knowledge with analytic and research software programs such as R-programming or S-system used to analyze data

Entry level knowledge with statistical information and graphs and able to perform calculations and analyze that information

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
